I joined the Highwood Chamber of Commerce because I truly believe in the vibrant spirit of our community! It is a joy to be part of an organization dedicated to strengthening our local businesses and making Highwood an even more wonderful place to live and work. My business Toffee Traditions, joined the Chamber when I opened my shop in 2021. As a new “brick and mortar” business my experience has been wonderful, whether it is reaching out to fellow business owners for valuable advice or to collaborate on joint events, everyone has been extremely supportive. I have engaged in Breakfasts before Business as well as evening events. All have been great connecting opportunities.

We have been proud members of the Chamber for many years, and it has had a tremendous impact on our business. The networking breakfasts have provided valuable opportunities to connect with other business owners, while the educational components have been incredibly beneficial. Additionally, these events offer our younger team members a chance to develop their networking skills and build professional relationships,

The Chamber also provides various opportunities for sponsorship and deeper involvement in the membership. Jennifur, the Director, has been especially supportive in helping us gain exposure and consistently finds innovative ways to amplify our presence.

What “sold me?” A Breakfast before Business event with a speaker talking about AI for small businesses. She changed my world. I’ve taken her simple advice to try AI for just about anything. She suggested treating AI like an employee when initiating a request and to look for industry or task specific apps. I ‘ve made a marketing plan, edited website content, and about 100 other tasks with the help of AI.

Each event I’ve attended since has added a new tool or relationship benefiting my business.

At ABLAZE Design Group, we can’t say enough good things about the Chamber of Commerce. Jennifur Condon and the Board Members have been amazing – always showing up and promoting our events. We were even able to collaborate with other local suburbs to put on a big multi-chamber event at ABLAZE that exposed us to a lot of new business owners outside of Highwood. Thanks to the Chamber’s new “Welcome Kit” initiative, we’ve been able to make connections with new Highwood residents and have even turned one of those leads into an actual customer of ABLAZE.

The Highwood Chamber of Commerce has been an integral part of our journey since day one. From our Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony to helping us establish meaningful connections within the community, Jennifur and her team have gone above and beyond to support our growth.
